There are a few factors that can dramatically contribute to how effective kratom is for weight loss. The two most important of these factors include: Strains and types and dosage.
Strains and Types
For those who want to achieve the best benefits from using kratom, you need to pick the right strains. From our experience the best strains for this purpose are Thai, Maeng Da, and white vein strains. Overall, Thai strains tend to be the most effective at appetite suppression due to their stimulating properties. Maeng Da can also be highly effective, however, this varies from vendor to vendor and product to product, as some maeng da are more stimulating and others more sedating. White vein strains, while not as potently stimulating as Thai, can cause appetite suppression without the intense energy that the other two strains often cause, making it better for more regular use.
If using kratom for weight loss is your primary goal, we suggest you avoid red veins, indo strains, borneo strains and bali strains, as they often tend to be more sedating, which can actually cause temporarily increased appetite. With regular use, however, this disappears. Although the temporarily increased appetite tends to go away, they are still less effective than the above mentioned strains for weight loss.
Dosage
Dosage is another key factor when it comes to weight loss. However, the ideal dosage can vary from person to person, as each individual has a unique makeup. Typically, the best dosage for weight loss is “moderate”, however, testing it out yourself is necessary to get the best results. Below is a simplified guide to dosage.
·         Low – 1 to 2 grams
·         Moderate – 2 to 5 grams
·         High – 5 to 7 grams
The best advice is to start fairly low when trying out kratom or a new strain for the first time. This will help avoid overdoing it and give you a decent idea of what your perfect dosages is.
Dosage frequency is another important factor which shouldn’t be overlooked. If you are looking to use kratom regularly for this purpose, you should note that strains such as Maeng Da and Thai tend to increase tolerance faster, which can have negative results. For regular use, we suggest white vein strains, as they are potent, yet physically mild enough to avoid most negative effects of tolerance.
